I've just decided that guacamole, as amazing as it is, can get a little overpowering. First of all, there are different types of guacamole, and only a few are to my liking, but no matter what it is, if there's more guacamole than actual food on my plate, odds are I'll get sick. Mike and I went to Betos, the greatest place to serve authentic mexican cuisine at all hours. Go there at 3am and it's still open. In fact, there are actually more people there at like 11pm or even like 1am than there are during lunch time. You can really judge a restaurant by their normal traffic flow periods. If they've got more business after midnight than they do twelve hours later, then you can always count on a dang good breakfast burrito, no matter what time it is. They're probably better at 2am...not necessarily because their cook at 2am is better (although it's gotta be true) but because you're so dang tired that you don't care what you eat, as long as it's good and hot.
Anyway, I digress. Mike and I went there to get some food. We decide to split something, so we order...not a breakfast burrito. Bad choice. We order "Five Rolled Tacos" which are supposed to be served with guacamole and cheese. What we actually received was gaucamole, served with cheese and some tacos. I didn't think it was possible to lose a taco in a plate of guacamole, but I stand corrected.
And it wasn't so much that there was a lot of guacamole, cause that could have been overlooked, to a degree. But the guacamole wasn't even that good. It was just green sauce, like no texture or anything. I had really good guacamole once, made by my spanish teacher, and it had texture, and i dunno what was in it, but it tasted great. This stuff was just like....blah.
I dunno, but just before we went to Betos, we stopped by Kohlers (a local grocery store) and bought some Creamies. Mmmm...Creamies. We ate 4 of them and still had two left. I set them down on one of the tables at Betos and this group of like stoner weirdos walks in like at the same time we do. They were all like 16 or younger, but they were creepy...wearing Grateful Dead T-shirts and long frazzy hair and girl pants, you know, the works. Well, one of them notices the Creamies, and I'm standing in line with my friends. I'm watching this kid as he examines the box and then proceeds to pull one out. He seemed delighted to find an unsupervised box of popsicles, so he goes right ahead. One of his friends notices me laughing and hears me say, "He's totally eating my Creamies" and stops him. The kid was like "Oh, are these yours?" and we all have a good laugh about it. But they were weirdos, and the crazy thing was that they just kept multiplying. There were like 6 or so that walked in at the same time as us, but then more kept showing up. There had to be like over a dozen by the time they were all inside. The cool thing about it was that the van they pulled up in was one of those red VW like hippie vans. And it was in really nice condition...I mean, I wouldn't mind driving it.
Anyway, that was my night, I mean after leaving Bryan Bozung's house. We played Starcraft and got worked by one of the kids who graduated last year...his name escapes me at the moment. I never liked that game anyway...which is ironic, cause it's like the only game my computer will be able to run up at college, so I'll either play it a lot or spend most of my time really bored, while my roommates play it (but what's the difference?).
Anyway, I'm out.

P.S. - The Fifa World Cup started today. I'm way excited. I didn't used to like soccer, but since High School, being friends with the entire soccer team, I've learned to love soccer...both the boys and girls teams were all way good friends of mine, really the group I always hung out with. So now I absolutely love to watch soccer, which is good cause it's summer and there's nothing else to do.
