I have this dilemma. I'm running out of money, and my job isn't paying me much. I can't get many hours this summer, so I'm looking for a better-paying job. This is a problem, but it's not my dilemma.
My dilemma is that Matt Weidauer has offered to sell me his guitar for $300 (that includes the guitar, which is worth $500, with an electric pickup, worth $165, and the case, worth $100). I really do want to buy his guitar, seeing as he's incredible, and I could get him to sign it and someday, when he's famous, I'll have his guitar--signed and everything.
I'm trying to sell mine first, to help pay for some of the cost. I need someone to buy mine! It's an old guitar, but I've fixed it up pretty nice, and it sounds great. I ended up having to replace some parts and got everything working just fine. I suppose I'll ask around to see if anybody is really interested. I've got one prospect, but I doubt I'll sell it for what I'm hoping--$150.
I posted it on MySpace...you know the last ditch effort site, where you only go if you can't actually confront someone in person about buying a guitar. The response surprised me. I got like 3 real responses with people interested in buying it. They won't be once they read that some no-name company made the guitar, but whatev. Then Ryan Wheeler messaged me too about the guitar, but of course he was just being his usual pissy jerk self, so whatever.
Anyway, it's staying the night at Mike's house to see if his brother Eliott wants to buy it. In the morning he'll mess around with it and see if he likes it. If not then I'll try to fall back on one of the others.
Well, so I guess I'll have nothing to say about it until tomorrow. Good luck to me...
